Vetrazzo is a unique and luxurious countertop material that can be a great option for those looking for an eco-friendly and stylish surface. The Vetrazzo product is composed of recycled glass fragments, aggregates and a cement-based binder, allowing customers to choose a range of vibrant colours to give a desirable look.
A Vetrazzo slab is made by hand using 550 lbs of recycled glass from a variety of sources such as stained glass windows and traffic lights. The glass is mixed with 15% other pigments, additives, and recycled materials, resulting in 85% recycled material content in total. The components undergo several steps of grinding before being rolled out into slabs with unique designs. The slabs then go through curing and polishing processes that give them their aesthetic appeal and shine.
